No news is good news

I didn't blog yesterday as there wasn't much new to say. Vicki is still doing well, and the doctors are pleased with her progress. So far the side effects of the chemotherapy have been minimal. As this 2nd batch of treatment is far less intrusive into her every day life we've decided to try a visit to the real world, beyond the confines of the hospital. This time around, Vicki has a differing schedule of chemotherapy every day, and today's schedule allows for a break of about 6 hours, so we're going to explore Leicester and everything that it has to offer.

We've also started to plan her further education, and to hear Vicki talking about her future is a real tonic. It wasn't that long ago that she didn't think she had one.

  1. Hi,

I've popped over here after reading this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/northampton/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8344000/8344357.stm

I'm a maths teacher, and whilst the maths is undoubtedly the smallest part I found the story particularly heartwarming and had to pop over and check out your blog. So glad to hear that the treatment is going well, and that Vicki is thinking about further education. Is maths likely to play a part?!

Much luck to Vicki in all she endeavours to achieve!
