After the confusion of the last few days it seems that Vicki
is to get a break from her chemotherapy and hopefully, as soon as her counts have recovered, it should be for about a week. Assuming she's able to come home on Wednesday or Thursday, it looks unlikely that she'll be home for Christmas. :-( Oh well. However on the plus side, we now know that she is half way through her treatment. The medical team today said that Vicki is going to have 4 treatments in total. Well that is a real light at the end of the tunnel moment. Looking at the time scales involved this should mean that her treatment should be over early March, as long as no complications ensue. Fingers crossed then.
Last night we had a bit of a giggle at the hospital, as Vicki has been lent a Wii by CLIC Sargent (many thank to them for this), and we had as much fun creating Mii cartoon's of everyone as we did playing the games. Philippa and Andy visited and raised Vicki's spirits no end. I am continuing to find Micky Mouse confetti all over the car from one of Philippa's earlier visits, and this always brings a smile to my face.
Vicki is buoyed by the news of her impending home leave, as I am, so lets hope it's very soon.
