The Media Merry-Go-Round

Yesterday was mad. That is the only way to describe it. We'd spent some time trying to raise the profile of Leukaemia and were able to get some local publicity.

Yesterday we got a national breakthrough and the horse bolted out of the stable at Grand National pace! It all kicked off with a piece in the Daily Mail. Then came local TV, National TV, National Radio, Local Radio, and get this International web sites and this morning, International TV. What I have unleashed :-).

We just so thrilled that Vicki's story is generating so much interest. Ultimately the more the word about Leukaemia gets out there, the more people may think about donating to Leukaemia and other cancer charities, the closer we may get to better treatments and cures.

I'd like to thank all sections of the media that have shown an interest. I know most of the focus is around Vicki coming out of a coma, but there is so much else to tell. I have many concerns over local provision of care, hospital car parking charges, parental leave and so on to campaign about, but you have to start somewhere I guess.
