I'm absolutely shattered so I'll keep this short and sweet. On the one hand, the company who organise the ads on my blog decided to pull the plug so we'll no longer be able to raise money in this way. However please keep reading, as it keeps me sane to realise that you are all genuinely interested in Vicki's plight.
However, as the glass is half full, I've been absolutely flabbergasted with the news that a generous benefactor has come forward with a donation that will make such a difference to Vicki. I won't embarrass the individual on here, but I would like to say how grateful we all are, especially as this came as result of the one of the local rags taking up the story (perhaps I should be a little less derogatory then!). So raise your glasses to the anonymous benefactor, we salute you. You have conclusively proved that in this dark, dreary, depressing godforsaken hell hole I call life, there is but at least one star, who magnitude shines bright across the abyss with power and beauty.
Vicki's still quite poorly, and still not sleeping. She's now finished this initial course of chemotherapy and we're hoping that without the side effects the treatment brings she can at last, start to rebuild her damaged immune system. Each day brings new hope, and as we all know, hope springs eternal.
