Setting the scene

This blog follows my daughter as she deals with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I'm writing this primarily to give me an outlet for the thoughts and feelings I'm going through. Then I realised that this might be a useful tool for those who are going through the same thing, who like me are struggling to come to terms with this disease. But also I realised it could be a vehicle to get updates out to her family, friends, school mates and anyone else who cares about her, but isn't in the close inner circle that is around her 24 x 7. The first few posts will set the scene, and then once it's going, I'll post updates, hopefully as things are happening.
