Background

OK, let me tell you who are main players in this blog, and give you some background. Obviously there's Victoria (Vicki to her friends, but she won't allow me to call her this!), and me, her dad. Then there's her mum, Tracey, and our other child, her brother Samuel. At the time of writing Victoria is 15, and Samuel is 13. Tracey and I split up in 2002, and Victoria lives with me, and Samuel with mum. Then there is my girlfriend Debbie, without whose emotional support this year I would have had a nervous breakdown. Around us are my mum, and Tracey's mum (Nanny Pat). Lastly is Victoria's best friend Sarah, who has shown maturity beyond her 15 years in this process. We will of course meet lots of others along the way, and if anyone reading this thinks "why has he left me out", it's only because this group of people are closest to what is going on, and I'm in no way saying the other people aren't important, it's just I can't list them all otherwise this blog would be very long!
