The waiting game

Vicki is quite well in herself. She's still tired, a little off her food, but feeling quite OK otherwise. Her blood counts though tell a different story, primarily her neutrophils, which are marginally above zero. Still, the doctors are happy with her progress, and given that she's not suffering some of the usual side effects overall so am I.

All we can do is wait, wait for her counts to start moving upwards, and then we can start to look forward to another period of home leave. As we approach the New Year, we're ever hopeful that this will be soon, but my feeling is that it will be at least another week before she'll be well enough.

All we can do in the meantime is try to keep our spirits up and not get too frustrated with the wait. A big thank you to Andrew Ward who was kind enough to post a link on his web site linking to the Leukaemia goodies that I'm selling on here.
