Steady as she goes

Vicki needed more platelets on Tuesday, but she doesn't need any blood products today. Her blood counts are not at the normal levels yet, but they are stabilising, so hopefully they will start to recover over the coming days. My guess is that she'll be in hospital for at least another week before she's allowed home again. She seems quite bright in herself, and is continuing to do some school work during the day, so overall I'm quite happy. Still no mobile phone though :-(

Once again however, the focus of today has been on Samuel. First he refused to go to the doctors this morning, and then after an 'altercation' with another pupil at school, he walked out. So much of today has been preoccupied with Samuel that I've only just managed to phone Tracey and ask how Vicki is today. I'm due to take Samuel for another appointment this afternoon, but don't know whether he will go. I'm really at a loss as to what to do for the best with him, words fail me, and I'm not known for being short of things to say... apparently. (sighs deeply)
