I'm leaving on a jet plane

Today was the day when I got a little bit of respite from the situation. Mum was going on a trip of a lifetime to Virginia, USA. This was to be her first time in an aeroplane! She agonised about going, but in the end, it was the right thing to do. I reassured her that she can keep in touch with this blog, and with e-mails.

Overnight Victoria had a bit of a rough time with an infection setting in, but this was quickly spotted by the hospital and she was placed on antibiotics, and once again it was a disturbed night of sleep for her.

The biggest problem for Victoria was that during this 2 double shifts that Tracey and I had done, she missed out of on seeing her friends, so hopefully when I go up tomorrow, normal service will be resumed.
